IMPROV! Debut’s on CTSB-TV

LEE, MA - Conceptualized by Gabriel Klavun and Andrew Howansky, IMPROV! at CTSB is an outlet for actors of all ages to learn, show their skills, and have a lot of fun. First shooting live at the CTSB studio in April, 2005, IMPROV! pulled from regional talent to create it's first two shows. Many actors are members of the Workshop Playhouse Theater, located in Great Barrington, MA.

Gabriel Klavun (, best known locally for the creation of the Berkshire Music Project in 2000, studied video production in New York City, and Andrew Howansky has acted in numerous plays throughout the region.

Other members of the group include Marvin Shapiro, Martha Luitje, Jesse Steinberg, Odille Carpenter, Mira Hilbert, Laurece West, Patrick Loose and Hannah Edgerly.

The hilarious first two episodes of IMPROV! will air Wednesday and Saturday nights on CTSB TV channel 15 throughout the month of June. Alternating weeks, Episode #1 will air June 8, 11, 22,25 and Episode #2 on June 15, 18, 29 and July 2. The shows will air at 11pm (please be aware of adult themes and language).

IMPROV! Always welcomes new talent and is looking for volunteer crew to help shoot the shows.

More episodes will be shot and aired throughout the summer. Please visit for future airings.

Mira Hilbert, who currently works for the Workshop Playhouse Theater, will be giving classes in improvisation from which we will draw talent for the IMPROV! TV show. Classes are open to the public.

CTSB-TV, located in South Lee, is Community Television for the Southern Berkshires, the public access station serving the towns of Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Sheffield and Stockbridge.
